• We may collect technical information such as your device type, operating system, app version, and crash reports.
• This helps us improve the App’s performance and stability.

1.3 Restaurant Data

• The App displays information about restaurants (name, rating, photos) using the Google Places API.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

1. To provide nearby restaurant recommendations based on your location.
2. To cache restaurant data in Firebase for faster performance.
3. To improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
4. To display restaurant images and details from Google Places API.

3. How We Share Your Information

• We may share aggregated, anonymized data for analytics and research purposes.
• Restaurant information fetched from Google Places API is displayed according to Google’s terms of service with proper attribution (“Powered by Google”).

4. Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage.
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
• Only necessary data is stored for improving performance and reducing API costs.
• Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide services or as required by law.

5. Your Choices

• You can deny location access at any time through your device settings; however, core features of YupMap will be limited.
• You can request deletion of your data by contacting us (see Contact section below).

YupMap uses the following third-party services:

• Google Places API: To fetch restaurant data (name, rating, photos).

7. Children’s Privacy

YupMap is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
